Our Programs

Rebates & Energy Incentives

One of Minnkota’s guiding missions is strengthening communities. That’s why we support electrification and efficiency programs offered by our local power partners that encourage wise energy use in our homes, farms and businesses.

Off-Peak Rebates

As a part of its Value of Electricity campaign, Minnkota works with its member cooperatives and participating municipals to offer incentives for the installation of qualifying electric heating, water heating and vehicle charging equipment on the off-peak program. Each utility can implement the incentive with its own requirements. Some restrictions apply. Please check with your utility if you are interested in applying for these rebates.

PowerSavers Program

Through PowerSavers, consumers have access to a wide array of energy efficiency and conservation programs. Since 2010, Minnkota’s utilities offering PowerSavers options have helped consumers save more than 285 million kilowatt-hours (kWh).

Utilities across the state of Minnesota are required to reduce electricity sales by 1.5% each year based on the most recent 3-year weather normalized energy sales. The PowerSavers program has delivered at or above the 1.5% savings target since the goal went into effect in 2010.

Energy experts within the program work with residential, business and industrial consumers to find specific ways to reduce energy usage. Incentives are available for consumers who make qualifying energy efficiency or conservation improvements.
